The shank of the fork needle may have one or multiple tapers, while its working section is cylindrical, forming a three-dimensional circular fork in a V-shaped or D-shaped cross. It is primarily used for automotive and household carpets, wall covering fabrics, jacket linings, and other textured nonwoven materials.
Fork Needles
Fork needles are used for surface jacquard and raising treatments on pre-needled fabrics. Similar to triangular needles, fork needles are available in single, double, multiple, and tapered working sections. By adjusting the orientation of the bent shank relative to the fork opening, different jacquard and pile effects can be achieved. They are primarily applied in the production of automotive and household carpets, wall coverings, and apparel fabrics.
